Abstract(s)

Study and critical analysis on how the Internet is used to spend time by a group of young people in a public library, on how they experience, feel and value it. The article explores this subject considering that adolescence is a period of life when the way time is spent is a means to explore one’s relational, emotional and cognitive skills and to create and consolidate individual and group forms of identity which, in a large part, take the shape of a preparation for adult life.

Estudio y análisis crítico de cómo la Net es utilizada por un grupo de jóvenes para pasar el tiempo libre en una biblioteca pública, y de cómo la experimentan, sienten y valoran. El presente artículo explora el tema considerando que la adolescencia es un período de la vida donde la manera de pasar el tiempo libre sirve para explorar capacidades relacionales, emocionales y cognitivas; y para crear y consolidar formas de identidad individual y grupal en procesos de socialización que, en gran parte, se conforman como preparación para la vida adulta cercana.
