English abstract

From ISTAT 2001 Report, we know that in Italy there has been a reassuring growth in the use of personal computers and the Web. However we are still far from the minimum grade within Europe. Considering the new needs of the Information Society, various measures have been launched by the European Parliament. The clearest has been the definition of the minimum requirements to be obtained in order to look for a job, that is those which are needed to obtain ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).

Da quanto emerso dal Rapporto ISTAT 2001 sulla situazione italiana si è avuta, rispetto agli anni precedenti, una confortante crescita nell'uso del personal computer e del Web. Tuttavia siamo ancora lontani dalla sufficienza nella pagella europea. Alla luce delle nuove esigenze emerse nella società dell'informazione sono stati varati diversi provvedimenti in sede di Parlamento Europeo. Il più evidente è stato quello di definire i requisiti minimi da ottenere per proporsi sul mercato del lavoro, quelli cioè necessari al conseguimento della Patente Europea [di Guida] del Computer, ECDL [European Computer Driving Licence].
