English abstract

The School Libraries belong to two systems – the school and library. For that their Work is treated dually – by Regulations from Educational Field and by Regulations from the Field of LibrarianShip. Beside the Law Regulative, in the Paper is given the Analysis of the Activities of the School Libraries in Serbia – the Staff Structure, method of treatment process and retrievement of Library Holdings, the Acquisition Policy, statical datas of the usage of Library Holdings and Services, with tabelar reviews. It also quotes the Possibilities for the Librarians to contribute to a better and efficient Work of the School Libraries, through their own activities, which do not require high invenstements, with the single goal to transform the present inert and old System into a modern Librarian and Informative Centers, which intend to be a strong support for the realisation of the educational and learning process, in concordance with the demands and needs of the modern informative Society.

Školske biblioteke deo su dva sistema - školskog i bibliotečkog, pa se samim tim njihov rad uređuje dvojako - propisima iz oblasti obrazovanja i propisima iz oblasti bibliotekarstva. Pored zakonske regulative, u radu je data analiza rada školskih biblioteka u Srbiji - kadrovska struktura, način sređivanja i smeštaj knjižnih fondova, nabavna politika, statistički podaci vezani za korišćenje bibliotečkih fondova i usluga, sa tabelarnim prikazima. Navedene su mogućnosti da bibliotekari, svojim aktivnostima koje ne zahtevaju velika materijalna ulaganja, doprinesu boljem i uspešnijem radu školskih biblioteka, u cilju transformisanja postojećeg inertnog i zastarelog sistema u moderne bibliotečko-informacione centre, koji će biti ozbiljna podrška ostvarenju vaspitno-obrazovnog procesa, u skladu sa zahtevima i potrebama savremenog informatičkog društva.
