English abstract

From its foundation up to today, the National Library of Serbia takes care and develops its Reference Collection, which appearance, content and role in the scientifical, professional and research work of the user have been changed during the time. Those changes have imposed the creation of two new, specialized Centres. The Centre for Law Information, where all the written materials in the domain of Law and its similar scientific disciplines, official documents, electronic publications and databases are available to the user. The Centre for Librarianship regroups all the professional library materials, develops the system of scientific research and cooperation with other similar Institutions. The informative and research work within the Reference collection has contributed to the scientific and professional work of indivuduals and Institutions and in the development of the activity of the National Library of Serbia.

Serbian abstract

Narodna biblioteka Srbije od svog osnivanja do danas neguje i razvija svoju Referensnu zbirku, koja je tokom vremena menjala izgled, sadržaj i ulogu u naučnom, stručnom i istraživačkom radu korisnika. Te promene uslovile su stvaranje dva nova, specijalizovana centra. U Centru za pravne informacije dostupna je literatura iz oblasti prava i njemu srodnih nauka, zvanična dokumenta, elektronske publikacije i baze podataka. Centar za bibliotekarstvo objedinjava bibliotečku literaturu, razvija sistem naučnoistraživačkog rada i saradnju sa drugim srodnim institucijama. Informativno-istraživački rad u okviru Referensne zbirke doprineo je naučnom i stručnom radu pojedinaca i institucija i razvoju delatnosti Narodne biblioteke Srbije.
