English abstract

This paper summarized the designing and implementation of a metadata application profile derived from multi metadata standards and specifications for CHINESE CULTURAL CELEBRITIES' MANUSCRIPTS LIBRARY (CCCML). After an introduction to the general considerations, principles, procedure approaches and characteristics of the resources, the metadata application profile composed of core elements and their qualifiers have been given in detail. Then, we explained the system functional requirements, metadata encoding schema and the rules and schemes for cataloging, as well as the authority control consideration. At last, a few common issues in designing metadata application profile have been concluded.

本文论述了上海图书馆名人手稿馆元数据方案的设计及其实现，说明了设计时的总体考虑、设计原则、设计流程及元数据方案针对的资源特点，详细给出了元数据方案的核心元素和扩展元素；简要介绍了最终成型的元数据方案，包括对方案性质的定位、方案的组成、方案的属性元素集、置标方案及著录规则等内容；并对在此元数据方案基础上开发的元数据著录系统的诸多功能进行了介绍，包括规范档，编码体系，schema管理工具等功能，最后提出了一些方案制定中的问题期望能与国内同行共同商讨，以期达到抛砖引玉之效。
