English abstract
Tsuneo Maekawa, director of the Hino Town Library, Japan, at the 50's and 60's of the 20th century, intended the collaboration between librarians and architects for planning library buildings. The challenge was to plan user-centered buildings. His ideas are colected in the Azusa Kino's book Libraries: New concepts in architecture & design.

Tsuneo Maekawa, director de la biblioteca municipal de Hino, al Japó, proposà, ja en els 50 i 60 del segle XX, la col·laboració entre bibliotecaris i arquitectes per a la planificació dels edificis de biblioteques, i que aquests estiguin projectats pensant en els seus usuaris. Es comenta el seu pensament, recollit en el llibre Llibraries: new concepts in architecture & design, d'Azusa Kito.
