English abstract

This is the second of a series of articles on Public Libraries in search of set objectives. This article stresses the responsibility of Government to enact a public library system and legislation to ensure to the people the arability and accessibility of the information in an equal and unbiased way which has to play very important role in the political, social, educational and economic progress of a country. The paper points out that unless public libraries especially village libraries can satisfy all the information requirements of the community it serves, there is no meaning in their existence.
