English abstract

It exposes a few problems generated with the approvation of Patriot Act and violation of the privacy right in libraries by american government. Also, it remark new antiterrorist legislation after the September 11th attacks and its effects for librarian work

Expone algunos problemas generados por la aprobación del Patriot Act y la violación del derecho a la privacidad en bibliotecas por parte del gobierno estadounidense. Asimismo, resalta que la nueva legislación antiterrorista despues de los atentados del 11 de setiembre de 2001 y sus efectos en la labor bibliotecaria
