English abstract

The presentation looks at the characteristic features of the information landscape and the important information sources a librarian should know to become a better information manager.It describes about the World wide Web and even about the Deep Web. The type of commonly used formats of e-resources and their characteristics are mentioned.The presentation makes an aerial view of many important information resources in the digital world and concludes that in order to become meaningful knowledge managers, librarians should keep to know such sources of information. The presentation may be used as a training material for those who want to speak on emerging information scenario.
