English abstract

This paper describes how we customized the short title list of the Austrian Library Network OPAC by adding graphical symbols (icons). These icons are used to highlight titles containing external links to full texts, abstracts, and tables of contents, as well as materials such as periodicals, articles in journals and books, maps, and printed music.

Der Beitrag dokumentiert eine im Österreichischen Verbundkatalog (OPAC unter Aleph 500) angewandte Parametrisierungslösung, die in der Ergebnisliste des OPACs graphische Symbole (Icons) aufscheinen lässt, um Titel mit Link-Funktionalität zu Volltexten, Abstracts und Inhaltsverzeichnissen, sowie bestimmte "Sondermaterialien" (Zeitschriften bzw. Serien, Artikel, Karten, Musikalien) besonders hervorzuheben.
