Se han hecho muchas predicciones sobre el ascenso y descenso del uso de las patentes a nivel internacional. A pesar del masivo incremento de la información electrónica en todas sus formas, los sistemas de patentes se han estabilizado en estos años y creo poder predecir que no cambiarà demasiado el nivel de usuarios.
