Abstract
British Columbia's public and post-secondary libraries share a service called OutLook OnLine which includes several union databases, a portal to search the union databases and library catalogues via Z39.50, and an integrated interlibrary loans system. OutLook OnLine is in the process of changing from a closed interlibrary loans systems to one involving open communications using the ISO ILL protocol. This presentation was part of a panel session called "Linking Systems: Transforming Resource Sharing Through ISO ILL and Other Standards", which provides an overview of resource sharing technologies and networks across Canada.
