Abstract

Barbara Shuh and Carrol Lunau of Library and Archives Canada present an overview of the current status of communications standards for library resource-sharing, and implementations of the standards, with a focus on Canada. Standards covered include Z39.50, ISO ILL, NCIP, and LDAP (Directory Standards). This was part of a panel session called "Linking Systems: Transforming Resource Sharing Through ISO ILL and Other Standards", an overview of resource-sharing technologies and networks across Canada.
