Abstract

[Turkish Abstract]

Makalede 1975-2003 yılları arasında Science Citation Index (SCI) kapsamındaki dergilerde yayımlanan Hacettepe Üniversitesi (HÜ) adresli yayınlar incelenmektedir. Söz konusu 29 yıllık zaman dilimi içinde SCI’de HÜ adresli toplam 9688 yayın yer almıştır. Yayınların üçte birinden fazlası (%37) 2000 yılından sonra yayımlanmıştır. Yayınların neredeyse tamamının dili İngilizce’dir. SCI’deki HÜ adresli yayınlar 1541 farklı dergide yayımlanmıştır ve 136 dergide yayımlanan yayınlar tüm yayınların yaklaşık yarısını oluşturmaktadır. En çok yayın yapılan dergiler sırasıyla Turkish Journal of Pediatrics (526), Acta Crystallographica Section C-Crystal Structure Communications (163), Journal of Applied Polymer Science (109) ve Journal of Pediatric Surgery’dir (107). Yayınların %57’sini dört ve üzeri yazar bir araya gelerek oluşturmuştur. Tek yazarlı yayınların oranı ise %8’dir. Araştırmada elde edilen bibliyometrik bulgular üniversitenin bilimsel üretkenliğinin değerlendirilmesinde kullanılabilir.

[English Abstract]

Article reviews the publications (articles, letters, editorial etc.) of Hacettepe University that were included in the Science Citation Index. Such publications were identified through the Science Citation Index by checking the authors’ affiliation addresses to see if they included the word “Hacettepe”. The research carried out covers a total of 9688 publications between the years 1975-2003. More than one third of total contributions were published after the year 2000. Almost all of publications were written in English. Contributions by Hacettepe University researchers appeared in 1541 different journals. Among the most preferred journals were Turkish Journal of Pediatrics (526), Acta Crystallographica Section C-Crystal Structure Communications (163), Journal of Applied Polymer Science (109) and Journal of Pediatric Surgery (107). Four and more than four-author publications constituted 57% of all publications. Only 8% of publications had single authorship. Bibliometric findings obtained in this study can be used to evaluate scientific productivity of the university.
