Abstract
[Turkish Abstract]Bilgi profesyonellerinin eğitiminden sorumlu olan kuruluşlar bir süreden beri yaşanmakta olan çok yönlü değişimden kaçınılmaz olarak etkilenmektedirler. Bu çalışmada, Hacettepe Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi Kütüphanecilik Bölümü'nde yürütülmekte olan lisans programlarına ilişkin yaşanmakta olan sorunlar ile bu sorunları büyük ölçüde gidereceği düşünülen yeni lisans programının gerekçeleri, öngörüleri ve beklentileri ele alınmakta, değerlendirilmekte ve tartışılmaktadır.
[English Abstract] Institutions responsible for educating information professionals inevitably respond to the challenges of multi-dimensional changes in the society. This article not only underlines the problems of the Department of Library Science at Hacettepe University in relation to its existing undergraduate programmes, but also aims to introduce and discuss a very recently developed curriculum that is hoped to meet the challenges of the professional market at large.
