Abstract

[German abstract]

[English abstract]

In this article I examine one advantage of the electronic book in comparisation to the printed book: Because of the possibility to store e-books easily without great costs, they are not likely to go out-of-print. To examine this assumption the out-of-print-rate of hardcover-, softcover- and electronic-editions is compared over the last twenty-five years.
