The article focusses on private libraries owned by noble families in the German region of Upper Swabia. It treats predominantly the former Court Library Donaueschingen (1999 dispersed) and the collections of the house Waldburg at Wolfegg and Zeil. Also mentioned are smaller collections like the former Stadion library at Warthausen.

Der Beitrag behandelt die privaten Bibliotheken oberschwäbischer Adelsfamilien, vor allem am Beispiel der Hofbibliothek Donaueschingen (1999 zerstückelt) und der Sammlungen des Hauses Waldburg in Wolfegg und Zeil. Erwähnt werden auch kleinere Sammlungen wie die Stadion'sche Bibliothek zu Warthausen.
