Con il "Manifesto di Alessandria sulle biblioteche, la società dell'informazione in movimento" l'IFLA affronta il tema della concezione stessa delle biblioteche e dei servizi informativi, dal punto di vista del loro ruolo all'interno della società odierna che si basa sull'informazione e sulla conoscenza come risorse strategiche.

With "Alexandria Manifesto on Libraries, the Information Society in Action" IFLA analyses the conception itself of libraries and information services, from the point of view of their role within our society that is based on information and knowledge as strategic resources.
