Abstract

SwissInfoDesk is the virtual reference desk (VRD) of the Swiss National Library launched in 2003. The articles aims to describe in details the building of an online searching tool for users interested by Switzerland. SwissInfoDesk is both a portal of information with a links directory (classified in themes and sub-themes such as history, politics, economics...)and a possibility given to users to be directly in contact with Swiss librarians. It is a multilingual VRD in four languages (German, French, Italian and Englisch).

SwissInfoDesk est le guichet de référence virtuel de la Bibliothèque nationale suisse lancé en 2003. L'article présente en détail la mise en place, le développement d'un outil de recherche élaboré pour des utilisateurs intéressés par la Suisse. C'est à la fois un portail d'information avec un répertoire de liens (classés par thèmes et sous-thèmes tels l'histoire, la politique ou l'économie...) et la possibilité d'être en contact direct avec un bibliothécaire suisse. Il est multilingue (allemand, français, italien et anglais).
