Abstract

SwissInfoDesk is the virtual reference desk (VRD) of the Swiss National Library launched in 2003. It is both a portal with a links directory on Switzerland (2500 links selected and classified in themes and subthemes such as history, politics and economics...)and a possibility given to users to directly contact a librarian and ask for requests. SwissInfoDesk is a multilingual VRD (in German, French, Italian and Spanish).
