Michael the Vice Chancellor was the first to initiate programmes for development of the ICT infrastructure of the university and also library and information system modernization programmes. Makes a quick evaluation of the high tech central library building, library network, electronic library, Internet based services etc introduced during his period. Observes the changes in policies related to collection development, journal subscriptions and cost effectiveness resulting from the introduction of ICT based system. The training programmes for enabling the staff to adjust with the new system, the reaction of the staff and users to the changes etc are also observed.
