Abstract

This article describes the experience in and results of the digitalization of books published by the Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (IEP), which publishes on behalf of the Latin American Open Archives Portal (LAOAP). The IEP receives support from the Latin Americanist Research Resources Project(LARRP). Currently, IEP has digitized and put online over 8,500 books, 11 titles of which have registered over 20,000 downloads each.

Expone la experiencia y resultados en el proceso de digitalización de los libros editados por el Instituto de Estudios Peruanos (IEP), quien realiza la publicación los libros digitalizados como colaborador del Latin American Open Archives Portal (LAOAP). El IEP para esto recibió el apoyo logístico de (LARRP), logrando digitalizar más de 8500 páginas, 11 títulos de gran demanda y hasta el momento se han registrado alrededor de 20 000 descargas, de libre acceso.
