English abstract

The Semantic Web seeks to convert information into knowledge. To do so, it must be based fundamentally on semantic and descriptive markings not only of the documents but the data as well, by means of automatically structured and legible information that provides the machines with a greater capacity for managing and retrieving the data. SABIOS proposes to introduce emergenttechnologies based on semantics and combined with multi-agent systems and information retrieval techniques in order to improve the processes of insertion, cataloging, and retrieval of digital documents, thereby implementing a system composed of three modules: a knowledge module, a semantic search module, and finally a module for visualizing and navigating the results

La Web semántica, pretende convertir la información en conocimiento. Para ello, se basa fundamentalmente en el marcado semántico y descriptivo no sólo de los documentos, sino también de los datos, por medio de información estructurada y legible automáticamente, que proporciona a las máquinas una mayor capacidad para gestionar y recuperar esos datos. SABIOS, se propone precisamente, la introducción de las tecnologías emergentes basadas en semántica, combinadas con sistemas Multiagentes y técnicas de recuperación información para permitir mejorar los procesos de inserción, catalogación y recuperación de documentos digitales, implementando para ello un sistema compuesto por tres módulos: un modulo de conocimiento, un modulo de búsqueda semántica y finalmente un modulo de visualización y navegación de resultados
