Abstract

Paper describes methodology, sample and limitations of the in-house use study and analyses 1,721 user visits to ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC) Library systematically recorded over two months; Presents frequency distribution table of user visits, time series analysis made to see the pattern of in-house use of the library at different timings of a day, different days of a week and over weeks and months; Identifies cyclical, seasonal and irrational variations in in-house use; Presents frequency distribution of library visits against users along with results and observations; Concludes by enumerating factors affecting in-house use.
