Abstract

The object of the thesis is to give an overview of Data Protection at the library of the Universidad Complutense (Madrid). The sources of this work include legislation, polls of workers and users, monographs and articles. It concludes the need for creating a code of conduct for the rigorous treatment of personal information to guarantee confidentiality and protecting users' privacy.

El proposito fundamental de la realizacion del estudio es dar a conocer la Proteccion de Datos de caracter personal, fundamentalmente en la Biblioteca de la Universidad Complutense y de una forma mas general de la propia Universidad. Con este fin se intenta mostrar los derechos y principios a los que se acoge la Comunidad Universitaria. Asi se aspira a mejorar los conocimientos por parte del personal de la biblioteca como el de los propios usuarios de la misma.
