Abstract
[English abstract] The 48° Congress of the AIB focused essentially on three fundamental themes: libraries and new technologies (new OPACs and management of the virtual libraries); the evaluation and the quality in the library; the profession and the formation of the librarian. Every aspect focused by the congress is described and analyzed: the state of the art, the problem list, and finally the future perspectives.
[Italian abstract] Gli atti del 48° Congresso dell'AIB sono incentrati essenzialmente su tre temi fondamentali: la biblioteca a confronto con le nuove tecnologie (dagli OPAC
alla gestione delle mediateche); la valutazione e la qualità in biblioteca; la professione e la formazione del bibliotecario. Per ciascuno di questi aspetti focalizzati dal congresso, vengono presentati: lo stato dell'arte, le problematiche e le criticità, e infine le prospettive future.
