Abstract

This presentation discussed various types of open access software available and how open source software solutions are increasingly being implemented in all types of organizations to provide new, cost effective and innovative services. It also provided an overview of the origins of open source software, its pros and cons, application examples such as Drupal, Evergreen and Open Office, as well as trends, tips and tricks.
