When the Time Comes, Will You Be Ready? Strategies and Tools to Build a Framework for Information Literacy across the Curriculum
(2008) When the Time Comes, Will You Be Ready? Strategies and Tools to Build a Framework for Information Literacy across the Curriculum. Delivered at WILU 2008: 37th Workshop on Instruction in Library Use, UBC Okanagan, Kelowna, British Columbia (Canada). Presentation.
Abstract
Building an effective and sustainable curriculum-integrated information literacy initiative requires several key ingredients, from securing support by identifying and aligning the library with key strategic partners on campus and providing convincing evidence of the need for attention to information competencies, to planning and designing information literacy development and assessment opportunities across the curriculum. Participants will hear case studies from two very different institutions and begin to build a strategic action plan for their own institutions.
