English abstract

The authoress brings out the importance the documentatton for the chemical industry. She discusses classification systems, the writing out of summaries. automation in documentation, translations and the co-operation among national and international associations. Finally, she considers bríelly the real situation of documentation referred to the chemical industry in Spain.

Spanish abstract

La autora pone de manifiesto la importancia de la documentacion en la industria química. Analizan los sistemas de clasificación y de resumen. En la automatización de la documentación, la traducción y la cooperación entre asociaciones nacionales e internacionales .Finalmente, considera brevemente la situación actual de la documentación en la industria química en España.
