English abstract

The need to measure the impact of information literacy in the universities is a premise in the analysis of the development of information society. Aimed at identifying the different positions on the process of assessment of the information literacy, the available international literature was reviewed. The different points of view from which the topic was dealt with in the university context were related, and it was made an analysis from the 1970s up to now to attain a theoretical approach to the studied topic.
