English abstract

Open Access in Humanities is moving slower than OA in STM disciplines. Notwithstanding Open Access movement is recently gaining fast consensus among scholars communities in Humanities and Social Sciences. Presentation discusses the manifold achievements of OA in Humanities both in the Green Road and in the Gold Road. Subject repositories, such as HAL-SHS, PhilSci Archive and E-Lis are consolidating their importance among scholars, DOAJ lists more than 600 journals dedicated to Humanities, Open Humanities Press is an Open Access press, Synergies in Canada, Revues.org and Persée in France are digital platforms devoted to OA journals in Humanitiee. For monographs the combination OA + POD is consolidating, being adopted by publishers and OA projects such as OAPEN.

Sebbene le scienze umane abbiano accolto con ritardo i principi e le pratiche dell'Accesso Aperto, tuttavia, in questi ultimi anni molte comunità di umanisti si sono aperte all'accesso aperto per superare i limiti e le disfunzioni dell'attuale sistema di comunicazione scientifica nelle scienze umane. Numerosi subject repositories sono dedicati alle scienze umane, DOAJ contiene un numero rilevante di riviste nel settore umanistico, Open Humanities Press è una casa editrice dedicata a riviste in Arts and Humanities, Synergies in Canada, Revues.org e Persée in Francia sono due piattaforme dedicate alla pubblicazione di riviste OA nel settore delle scienze umane, ecc. La presentazione discute anche lo stato dell'arte dell'archiviazione delle tesi di dottorato in Italia, dopo la pubblicazione delle Linee guida della CRUI nell'ottobre 2007
