English abstract

Introduction: The hospital library's, offers its users a fun, therapy, education, culture and even reading through the service called bibliotherapy. This new therapy through reading serves as a new tool for improving patient health. Also, reading about the center's staff and complement the professional library only with funds specializing in health sciences. Material and methods: Since the professional library was inaugurated in April 2010, have been constant suggestions and requests of the hospital's own staff (health and non health) to create a library whose funds are not restricted to one discipline. Potential users (patients, relatives of patients and hospital staff) demanded a separate area adapted and current library where you can have collections of books whose funds were multidisciplinary, where you can have reading materials that serve them to escape for a few hours the place or situation where they were. The hospital library has been created through the support of the entire hospital staff, and institutions and municipalities to donate funds. In addition, the hospital has the support of volunteers, who are responsible for more in touch with patients and family are the ones who made the loan in the rooms. Results: Since the opening of the library through the month of celebration of Bibliosalud, it will pass a user survey, to measure service satisfaction of bibliotherapy and whether it meets the expectations set. In addition, we may collect other information of interest as they are, what kind of reading is the most demanded and what subjects are most requested. Conclusion: The creation of bibliotherapy service at the Hospital, provides the ability to enhance the spirit of promoting their rehabilitation patients, and in the case of staff, facilitating the approach of the culture by reading from his own job.

Introducción: La biblioteca de hospital, aporta a sus usuarios una forma de diversión, terapia, cultura e incluso educación a través de la lectura con el servicio conocido como la biblioterapia. Esta nueva terapia a través de la lectura sirve como un nuevo instrumento para mejorar la salud de los pacientes. Además, acerca la lectura al personal del centro y complementará a la biblioteca profesional, sólo con fondos especializados en ciencias de la salud. Material y métodos: Desde que la biblioteca profesional del Hospital se inaugurara en abril de 2010, han sido constantes las sugerencias y peticiones del propio personal del hospital (sanitarios y no sanitarios) de crear una biblioteca cuyos fondos no fueran restringidos a una disciplina. Los usuarios potenciales (pacientes, familiares de pacientes, y personal del hospital) demandaban un espacio adaptado y separado de la biblioteca actual donde poder disponer de colecciones de libros cuyos fondos fueran multidisciplinares, donde poder disponer de materiales de lectura que les sirvieran para poder evadirse por unas horas del lugar o de la situación en la que estaban. La biblioteca de hospital, se ha creado mediante el apoyo de todo el personal del hospital, y de las instituciones y ayuntamientos que donaron fondos. Además, el hospital cuenta con el apoyo de los voluntarios, quienes se encargan de estar más en contacto con los pacientes y familiares y son quienes realizan el préstamo en las habitaciones. Resultados: Desde la inauguración de la biblioteca hasta el mes de celebración de las Jornadas de Bibliosalud, se pasará una encuesta a los usuarios, para poder medir la satisfacción del servicio de biblioterapia y saber si cumple con las expectativas fijadas. Además, se podrán recoger otros datos de interés como son, que tipo de lectura es la más demandada y que materias son las más solicitadas. Conclusión: La creación del servicio de biblioterapia en el Hospital, aporta la capacidad de mejorar el ánimo de los pacientes fomentando su rehabilitación, y en el caso del personal, facilitando el acercamiento de la cultura a través de la lectura desde su propio puesto de trabajo.
