Shows a specific panorama related to some concepts and developments on Open Access journals in digital libraries by means of a brief analysis on remarkable issues. Provides enriching observations to describe OA definition, a historical approach, authors, librarians, editors and academic institutions’ perspectives; additionally, it presents concrete examples of digital journals universe.
