English abstract

Analysis of reader behavior (e-book analytics) is a new term used for tracking and analysis of interaction between a written document in electronic form and its readers. It gives us a deep understanding of the reading process; it shows us, for example, the time needed for finishing a particular book, hyperlinks in the book that were actually followed by a reader or the number of books a reader opened in a particular time period. E-book analytics is a brand new approach that has the potential for changing the way of book publishing. It has both positive and negative effects and during the short period of its existence it gained many supporters and opponents.
