English abstract

The research focused on analyzing and evaluating the databases included in the web page of the University Miguel de Cervantes. In particular twenty database were evaluated, including the Proquest databases, and SIARE DIALNET in open access version included. This model was applied to evaluate databases proposed by Alejo Febles, T., Serrano Manzano, P. Bermejo and Fresco, L. Subsequently, we proceeded to analyze thirteen database Proquest: ABI / INFORM Complete, Accounting Tax , PRISMA, Banking Information Service, Proquest   Asian Business and Reference, Proquest Criminal Justice, Educational Journals Proquest,   ProQuest Newsstand, ProQuest Career and Technical Education, Proquest Health   Military Collection Management and Proquest.   The analysis looked at six indicators of content: Thematic scope, idiomatic scope, temporal scope, authority of the producer / editor, material type and geographic reach. The analysis results are presented separately for each database form.

La investigación se centró en analizar y evaluar las bases de datos incluidas en la página de la web de la Universidad Miguel de Cervantes. En particular se evaluaron veintiún base de datos, entre las que se incluyeron las bases de datos de Proquest, DIALNET y SIARE en su versión de acceso abierto. Para ello se aplicó el modelo para evaluar bases de datos propuesto por Alejo Febles, T., Serrano Manzano, P. y Bermejo Fresco, L. Posteriormente, se procedió a analizar trece base de datos de Proquest : ABI/INFORM Complete, Accounting Tax, PRISMA, Banking Information Service, Proquest Asian Business and Reference, Proquest Criminal Justice, Proquest Educational Journals, Proquest Newsstand, Proquest Career and Technical Education, Proquest Health Management y Proquest Military Collection. El analisis contempló seis indicadores de contenido: alcance Temático, alcance idiomático, alcance temporal, autoridad del productor/editor, tipo de material y alcance geográfico. Los resultados del análisis se presentan en forma separada por cada base de datos.
