English abstract

The research of information literacy among students involved in non-medical disciplines on the bachelor level at the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague was conducted in October and November 2013. It focussed upon ascertaining how the students search for information, which types of resources they prefer, how they evaluate their actual abilities and knowledge when looking for scientific information, how they perceive information literacy lessons at the 1st Medical Faculty and which superstructural services offered by its Institute of Scientific Information as well as by General University Hospital in Prague they make use of. The research compares particular responses of newly admitted students who have started the first grade course "Introduction to Scientific Research" with those of second and third grade after the completion of said course. -- ISSN 1801-3252 (Print). Czech abstract

Výzkum informační gramotnosti mezi studenty nelékařských oborů bakalářského směru probíhal v říjnu až listopadu 2013 na 1. lékařské fakultě Univerzity Karlovy (1. LF UK) v Praze. Cílem bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem si studenti opatřují informace, jaké typy zdrojů volí při vyhledávání informací, jak hodnotí své dosavadní schopnosti a znalosti vyhledat odbornou informaci, jak nahlížejí na výuku informační gramotnosti na 1. LF UK a jaké nadstavbové služby Ústavu vědeckých informací 1. LF UK a Všeobecné fakultní nemocnice využívají. Výzkum srovnává jednotlivé odpovědi studentů nastupujících do 1. ročníků, kteří v zimním semestru akademického roku 2013/2014 začali studovat předmět „Základy vědecké práce“, a odpovědi studentů 2. a 3. ročníků, kteří již tento předmět absolvovali. -- ISSN 1801-3252 (Print).
