English abstract

The present study presents the results of a survey conducted on undergraduate Home Science students in a Women’s college situated in suburban Mumbai. The objective of the study was to determine the influence of familial environment on students’ reading habits. The survey was conducted keeping in mind the demographic profile of the students like the socio- economic background, their mother tongue, medium of education in school, etc.
