English abstract
The work in question has as its purpose to carry out a transdisciplinary analysis of its object, the catalog Ark of Taste, which according to Milano (et al., S / d, p.4) "is a catalog of products at risk of disappearing, which are part of the culture and traditions of the whole world, "being a project developed by the Slow Food movement. We opted for the transdisciplinary approach to understand, as Hjorland (1995, p.409), that it allows a more organic and contextual view, where it is possible to have dimension of the whole. The aim here is to deal with the importance of information professionals in developing an emancipatory process in food choices, focusing on preserving the biodiversity, autonomy and nutrition of low-income populations.Two objectives of the UN 2030 agenda specifically, are in line with the Ark of Taste proposal. They are: "The goal 2 - End hunger, achieve food security and nutrition improvement and promote sustainable agriculture; and Goal 15 - Protect, recover and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, and halt the loss of biodiversity. " (UN, 2016, p.15).Both goals are for food sovereignty and all the issues that involve it.In this sense, information professionals play a fundamental role in this process. It is necessary to develop the critical sense, to get rid of the alienation imposed by the dominant ideology, which can be developed through incentives that value the development of informational competence, especially in populations in conditions of vulnerability. In fact, many people in misery are unaware of the nutritional value of many native foods, which have access and could alleviate hunger. The Ark of Taste meets this type of misinformation by bringing information about local foods to the population.Finally, the emancipation of society is fundamental to the fulfillment of the UN 2030 agenda, especially of objectives 2 and 15, once issues such as hunger, malnutrition, loss of biodiversity and degradation of ecosystems usually affect the class populations more directly lower, that is, those dominated by the food production system.
Portuguese abstract
O trabalho em questão tem como proposta realizar uma análise transdisciplinar de seu objeto, o catálogo Arca do Gosto, que segundo Milano (et. al., s/d, p. 4) “é um catálogo de produtos em risco de desaparecer, que fazem parte da cultura e das tradições do mundo inteiro”, sendo um projeto desenvolvido pelo movimento Slow Food. Optou-se pela abordagem transdisciplinar por compreender, assim como Hjorland (1995, p.409), que esta possibilita uma visão mais orgânica e contextual, onde é possível ter dimensão do todo. Busca-se aqui, tratar a respeito da importância dos profissionais da informação para o desenvolvimento de um processo emancipatório nas escolhas alimentares, voltando-se para a preservação da biodiversidade, autonomia e nutrição das populações de baixa renda. Dois objetivos da agenda ONU 2030 especificamente, estão em consonância com a proposta da Arca do Gosto. São eles: “O objetivo 2- Acabar com a fome, alcançar a segurança alimentar e melhoria da nutrição e promover a agricultura sustentável; e o objetivo 15- Proteger, recuperar e promover o uso sustentável dos ecossistemas terrestres, gerir de forma sustentável as florestas, combater a desertificação, deter e reverter a degradação da terra, e deter a perda de biodiversidade”. (ONU, 2016, p. 15). Ambos objetivos prezam pela soberania alimentar e todas as questões que a envolvem. Nesse sentido, os profissionais da informação possuem papel fundamental nesse processo. É preciso desenvolver o senso crítico, livrar-se da alienação imposta pela ideologia dominante, o que pode ser desenvolvido através de incentivos que valorizem o desenvolvimento da competência informacional, especialmente em populações em condições de vulnerabilidade. Aliás, muitas pessoas em situação de miséria desconhecem o valor nutricional de muitos alimentos nativos, os quais tem acesso e poderia lhes aliviar a fome. A Arca do Gosto vai de encontro com este tipo de desinformação ao levar informação sobre os alimentos locais à população. Enfim, a emancipação da sociedade é fundamental para o cumprimento da agenda ONU 2030, em especial dos objetivos 2 e 15, uma vez questões como a fome, desnutrição, perda da biodiversidade e degradação dos ecossistemas costumam afetar de forma mais direta as populações de classe mais baixa, ou seja, os dominados pelo sistema de produção alimentar.
