English abstract
An overview of the situation of Spanish Communication journals in 2016 is presented, showing some characteristics such as the type of publisher, language of publication, the form of access and their presence in quality and impact indexes such as JCR, ESCI, SJR, Google Scholar h index, MIAR, CIRC and Latindex, with final evaluations regarding future challenges.

Se presenta una panorámica de la situación de las revistas españolas de Comunicación en 2016, mostrando algunas características como el tipo de editor, idioma de publicación, la forma de acceso y su presencia en índices de calidad e impacto como JCR, ESCI, SJR, índice h Google Scholar, MIAR, CIRC y Latindex con valoraciones finales en cuanto a retos de futuro.
