English abstract
This volume, entitled Black Librarians: \research and experience of application of Law 10.639/2003 in librarian training and in libraries, has as purpose of contributing to the dissemination of actions and research for the implementation of Federal Law No. 10,639/2003, which established the inclusion of the mandatory theme of African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture in the curriculum of official education, as well as the Opinion CNE 003/2004, which stipulated the National Curriculum Guidelines for Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations and for the Teaching of History and Afro-Brazilian and African Culture. In summary: we present examples of the insertion of African and Afro-Brazilian history and cultures in library practice, teaching and research in Librarianship and Information Science (BCI), as well as the experiences and theoretical-critical reflections of people black librarians.
