English abstract

In this Google Scholar guide for authors we aim to help professors and researchers who have decided to activate their public profile in this database to make the best possible use of this tool. In this work, we side with authors, especially new authors, and aim to help them in two main ways. First, showing how they can optimize the possibilities of Google Scholar to disseminate their work and, in this way, improve their academic profile, and second, showing the possibilities of its advanced search and the programming of alerts.
