English abstract

The 5G architecture presented here resulted from the analysis of various publicly available reports published by standards, research and scientific bodies. This task aimed to establish a common and coherent understanding of the components of the 5G architecture. Despite a large number of documents relating to different aspects of the 5G architecture (e.g. individual network functions, interfaces, security functions, different 5G domains, etc.), only a few provide a comprehensive overview. For this, it was necessary to visualize the various components in a modular and general way. Once the comprehensive technical architecture of 5G was defined, and after examining the known weaknesses of the components, it was possible to list the sensitive assets and describe the most relevant threats.

Arhitectura 5G prezentată aici a rezultat din analiza diferitelor rapoarte accesibile publicului publicate de organisme de standardizare, cercetare și științifice. Această sarcină a vizat stabilirea unei înțelegeri comune și coerente asupra componentelor arhitecturii 5G. În ciuda unui număr mare de documente referitoare la diferite aspecte ale arhitecturii 5G (de exemplu, funcții de rețea individuale, interfețe, funcții de securitate, diferite domenii 5G etc.), doar câteva oferă o imagine de ansamblu compresivă. Pentru aceasta, a fost necesară vizualizarea diferitelor componente într-un mod modular și general. Odată ce arhitectura tehnică cuprinzătoare 5G a fost definită, și după examinarea punctelor slabe cunoscute ale componentelor, a fost posibil să se enumere activele sensibile și să se descrie cele mai relevante amenințări.
