English abstract

Digital information is inherently much easier to alter than that stored on traditional media, such as paper and microfilm. Due to rapid technological changes, the time interval between the creation of documents and the need to define their preservation and conservation strategies is much shorter in the digital environment than in the Gutenberg world. For this reason, new best practice guides have been developed to meet all needs and be useful for all fields involved in the process of generating and distributing electronic documents.

Romanian abstract

Informatia digitala este, intrinsec, mult mai uşor de alterat decat cea stocata pe suportii traditionali, precum hartie şi microfilmele. Din cauza rapidelor schimbari tehnologice, intervalul de timp dintre crearea documentelor şi nevoia de definire a strategiilor de prezervare şi conservare ale acestora se dovedeşte a fi mult mai scurt in mediul digital decat in lumea Gutenberg. Din acest motiv, s-au elaborat noi ghiduri de bune practici care sa satisfaca toate necesitatile şi care sa fie utile pentru toate grupurile implicate in procesul de generare şi distribuire a documentelor electronice.

Spanish abstract

La información digital es, intrínsecamente, mucho más fácil de alterar que la almacenada en medios tradicionales, como papel y microfilm. Debido a los rápidos cambios tecnológicos, el intervalo de tiempo entre la creación de documentos y la necesidad de definir sus estrategias de preservación y conservación resulta mucho más corto en el entorno digital que en el mundo Gutenberg. Por este motivo, se han desarrollado nuevas guías de mejores prácticas para satisfacer todas las necesidades y ser útiles para todos los campos involucrados en el proceso de generación y distribución de documentos electrónicos.
