English abstract

The work arises from an impossibility of being approved in the presentation of a thesis project. The intention of the work is to analyze various paradigm positions, based on the thought of Thomas Kuhn. We will address both the contexts of justification and discovery, focusing on the different disciplines that are related to Information Science. The 20th century has been a prolific century in the approach to scientificity in various disciplinary fields, giving rise to a growing demand to question various branches of knowledge, especially in the Social and Human Sciences. Our proposal is to present paradigms and philosophical foundations that can support library and information science.
