English abstract

The study examines the status of library automation in Autonomous College libraries of Odisha Government. Also discusses the status of library automation and its challenges with a comprehensive overview of libraries embracing digital transformation. The findings of the study shows that institutional priorities, funding, and administrative support affect automation levels. Targeted investments in software, training, and network infrastructure can boost growth despite limited resources and technical expertise. The study recommends improving library automation to improve accessibility, efficiency, and resource-sharing across Odisha's academic network.
