English abstract

As part of its ongoing projects, the Fanzinothèque genevoise (Zine Library of Geneva) has decided to set up a digital catalog to harmonize the cataloging of its collections, enable volunteers to create bibliographic records for newly-acquired fanzines, and make it easier for users to discover and search for documents. The aim here is to reflect on the specificities of cataloguing documents such as fanzines, taking into account both the need for simplification to make the task accessible to beginners, and the need for professionalism and interoperability between the various French-speaking zine libraries taking part in a common network.

French abstract

Dans la continuité de ses projets, la Fanzinothèque genevoise a souhaité entamer la mise en place d’un catalogue numérique permettant à la fois l’harmonisation du catalogage de ses collections, la participation de bénévoles à la création de notices pour les fanzines nouvellement acquis et la découverte ainsi que la recherche de documents par les usager-ère-x-s de la structure. L’objectif ici est de réfléchir aux spécificités du catalogage pour les documents que sont les fanzines, en prenant à la fois en compte le besoin de simplification pour rendre la tâche accessible à des néophytes mais également la nécessité d’un professionnalisme et d’une interopérabilité entre les différentes fanzinothèques francophones faisant parties d’un réseau commun.
