English abstract

Information seeking process. This Open Educational Resource (OER) provides a structured overview of the information-seeking process, understood as a conscious and systematic activity aimed at satisfying an information need. It describes the main phases — recognising the need, designing a search strategy, locating and accessing information, evaluating the results, and using the information — and identifies cognitive, emotional, and contextual factors influencing each stage. The resource also includes examples, best practices, and references to improve research efficiency and promote information literacy in academic and professional contexts.

Bosnian abstract

Ovaj otvoreni obrazovni resurs (Open Educational Resource - OER) nudi strukturirani pregled procesa traženja informacija, shvaćenog kao svjesne i sistematske aktivnosti usmjerene na zadovoljenje informacijske potrebe. Opisuje glavne faze procesa - prepoznavanje informacijske potrebe, osmišljavanje strategije pretraživanja, lociranje i pristup informacijama, evaluaciju rezultata i korištenje informacija, te identificira kognitivne, emocionalne i kontekstualne faktore koji utiču na svaku fazu. Resurs uključuje primjere, dobre prakse i literaturu koji potiču informacijsku pismenost u akademskim i profesionalnim kontekstima.
