English abstract

The new model of education that will be formed from the European Space of Superior Education allows us to reframe which are the new abilities that our students need to be future professionals and contribute to added value and innovation to our society. The dominion of the management techniques and communication of the scientific and technical information are basic in surroundings of increase of the information available and the increasing importance of the economy of the knowledge. At the moment the libraries of the UPC offer activities that allow to acquire the abilities to correctly look for, to locate, to manage and to communicate the necessary information for the academic and professional success.

El nou model d’ensenyament que es configurarà a partir de l’Espai Europeu d’Ensenyament Superior ens permet de replantejar quines són les noves habilitats que els nostres titulats necessiten per esdevenir futurs professionals capaços d’aportar valor afegit i innovació a la nostra societat. El domini de les tècniques de gestió i comunicació de la informació científica i tècnica esdevenen primordials en un entorn on l’augment de la informació disponible i la importància creixent de l’economia del coneixement són bàsics. Actualment les biblioteques de la UPC ofereixen tot un seguit d’activitats formatives que permeten adquirir les habilitats informacionals necessàries per buscar, localitzar, gestionar i comunicar correctament la informació necessària per l’èxit acadèmic i professional.
