English abstract
The paper presents us with results of a poll on electronic library service usage and user satisfaction with its web pages, which has been conducted among the users of Rijeka University Library. Based on these results as well as on the experience with web page creation and user communication, the paper gives a possible answer to the question stated in the title. Croatian libraries are on the road towards finding the most acceptable option in electronic surroundings, but as the road is long and not yet trodden, it seems rather useful to apply marketing strategies in presenting institutional characteristics, thus creating an image of impeccable quality.

U radu su prikazani rezultati ankete o korištenju elektroničkih knjižničnih usluga te zadovoljstvu mrežnim stranicama, koja je provedena među korisnicima Sveučilišne knjižnice Rijeka. Na temelju tih rezultata kao i iskustva pri izradi mrežnih stranica te radu s korisnicima, daje se mogući odgovor na pitanje postavljeno u naslovu. Hrvatske su knjižnice na putu iznalaska najprihvatljivije opcije u elektroničkom okruženju, no on je dug i posve nov pa je dobro prihvatiti tržišno poimanje institucionalnih obilježja te kroz web graditi kvalitetan imidž knjižnica.
