近十年来,国家图书馆的业务工作自动化取得了长足的进展。但是,外文图书采编工作的自动化仍然是全馆自动化工作中的死角,这与国家图书馆自动化的水平极不相称。在本文中,作者拟对我馆外文图书业务工作自动化的历史作一个回顾,并对今后的自动化工作提出自己的设想。

The author makes a review of library automation in the National Library of China, and proposes some recommendations for the development of library automation in acquisitions and cataloging of monographs in foreign languages.
